Pajama Story Time

Don your pajamas and come to the Alpine Public Library Saturday, March 31, at 7pm. Enjoy a funny puppet show and a story about a robot from outer space, and then make your own alien robot! Alpine High School robotics team members will be on hand to demonstrate the “Buckbot.” This program is free and will last about an hour. Ages 10 and under.

“One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish…” Celebrate Dr. Seuss!

A Dr. Seuss celebration will be held March 29, from 4-5pm. Meet in the Community Room for great Dr. Seuss stories and a fishy craft project. For kids 6 and under and their parents.

Read-To-Me Program Begins Feb. 29

Wii Sports at the Library! Begins Feb. 24

Wii sports for kids will be held every Friday afternoon from 4-5:15pm in the Community Room. Games are supervised but children under the age of seven must be accompanied by a parent. For more information, call the library at 837-2621.

Can you believe it? The day you have been waiting for is finally here!!

The Alpine Public Library will be open to serve the community in its new building on Monday, February 13. PLEASE NOTE that the access road and parking lot surfaces are NOT ready for vehicle traffic. For now, patrons are requested to park on the street and enter by the main doors on the east side of the building.

Sorry for the delay in keeping the blog up to date!

Here is the latest news from our Board of Directors President, Chris Ruggia:

UPDATE: Jan. 13, 2012 - The Library remains closed during the transition to the new building. Staff and volunteers are working tremendously hard to get ready. We hope to open the doors before the end of January, but opening day will depend on how quickly the access road and parking lot paving can accept vehicle traffic.
