The Reading Fairy will grace us with her magical presence on Tuesday, Aug. 17, during the Toddler Time program. Expect her to appear about 10:45.

Make a snake!
Slither on up to the WOW Book Fest located on the S.R.S.U campus Friday the 30th between 9 and 10:30 a.m. for a morning of snake activities. Make a snake puppet, touch a snake skin, play a snaky math game, and hear a snake story. All activities are free.
J.R. Smith , general manager of the Big Bend Cowboys baseball team, will be reading “Casey at the Bat” at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 29, in the Junior Room of the Alpine Public Library. Members of the Cowboys baseball team will be available for autographs, and kids of all ages are welcome. For more information, call the library at 873-2621.
Children’s author Dolores Mosser will read her new book, A Train Story, on Thursday July 15, at 3:00 p.m. Meet in the Junior Room of the library. Kids of all ages are welcome.

Activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This “hands-on” program can be messy. Please wear play clothes. Begins June 1.
Summer Reading Program, Catch the Reading Express! Thursdays, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Story time, science activities, and craft projects. Register your child at the circulation desk and pick up an Express Train reading-log and summer science book. Ages 6-10. Begins June 3.
Summer Reading Club: All ages, all summer!
Pick up an Express Train reading-log and a United States map from the circulation desk. For every book read, your child will receive a State flag sticker. Fill the entire map with State flag stickers and receive a prize. This program ends August 31.
