Christmas Tree Math Game for Children

All children are invited to play the Christmas Tree Math Game located in the children’s room.  Here is how to play the game:

1.  Locate the basket of paper ornaments found near the puppet theater.

2.  Select an ornament - don’t peek - and solve the math problem.

3.   Tape your ornament to the correct answer on the tree.

4.  Play as many times as you like!

Children are also invited to make a gingerbread man at the craft table.

Pajama Story Time

Pajama Story Time will be held on December 13, 2008, at 7:00pm in the children’s room.  We will watch a puppet show, read some stories, play a few games, and make a holiday craft project.  Pajama Story Time is for kids ages 5-10 years old, but younger siblings are welcome, too!  Please note that scissors and glue are used during craft time.

Pajama Story Time will be held on Saturday, November 15, at 7:00pm in the children’s room.  We will watch a puppet show, read some stories, make a fall craft project, and take a virtual tour of a turkey farm.  This program is free and will last about an hour.

Turkey Math Game!

All children are invited to play the turkey math game in the children’s room.  Here is how to play:  1. Find the turkey feather basket located next to the puppet theater.   2. Select a feather - don’t peek - and read the number.  3. Tape the feather to the correct turkey found on the bulletin board.  4. Play as many times as you like!

This is an ongoing activity that children can play anytime they come to the library.  Kids are also invited to make a Thanksgiving decoration at the craft table.  Happy Thanksgiving!
